Malacai has been a DJ for the past 7 years, and involved with the underground party scene for over a decade. Known for smoothly mixing chunky funky house with hard sinister breaks and techno, Malacai has become one of Sacramento's best known and loved DJ's.

Bio:

Music has been a passion my entire life. I started with piano at age 6, and later played trumpet in orchestras, jazz, and marching bands. I have also self-taught myself how to play bass guitar, and dabbled in music production and mastering on a computer. I joined MiddleGround Productions in 2005; their great reputation and philosophy for throwing free parties was my main inspiration for wanting to join and contribute.

I specialize in a unique blend of dirty, funky house & breaks, but am known to spin all types of dance music, from deep vocal house, progressive, and techno. I have played parties from Reno to San Francisco, and have always had a grateful and nurturing attitude for the Sacramento scene. I am looking forward to releasing a great new mix CD in early 2009, and continuing the MiddleGround tradition of throwing absolutely epic free parties!
